Visual Analysis Project: African and European Perspectives

After finding images from online museum databases - MoMa and the Met - students applied what they learned from the formal elements of art, ideas of perspective, contrast, composition, to their chosen images, one with an African perspective, another with a European perspective, and a third which incorporates both. Students then made observation notes and began to develop a comparative analysis, making interpretations, and connecting themes and major concepts, creating an original project.
