The Revolutions: From Sacred to Secular

After discussing the Late Middle Ages in Europe, and the Bubonic Plague, we read from John P. Mckay’s A History of Western Society, and learned that this plague was part of the catalyst of the Enlightenment. Great change provokes great questions and great opportunities. From there students chose different periods of time which saw great changes, like the Renaissance, reforms in the Church, European Expansion, the development of Agriculture, and Science. Students then created oral presentations on their chosen revolution.
