Mi Monstruo (Novice High)

To practice the vocabulary surrounding the different body parts in Spanish, students got to stretch their creative skills by creating crazy-looking monsters and labeling at least 20 different body parts! This led to the birth of five-nosed creatures, and other uncanny beings. With each labelled body parts, students also had to include at least 5 different adjectives, all the while being as creative & colorful as possible, using magazines and/or printed images, as well as drawing.

Once their monsters were set, they wrote a detailed description of their creations, including the following information, and written requirements:

  • Name

  • Description of hair, eyes, & other physical traits

  • Some personality traits as well

  • Plenty of adjectives

  • The verbs Tener, Ser & Estar

  • At least 3 reflexive verbs

  • The verb gustar
