El español en nuestra comunidad (Novice)
As an introduction to the language, students considered the impact of Spanish in their own communities. As they looked around, they realized that Spanish is actually everywhere -- from the labels on our clothes, to our next door neighbor, to the restaurants on our block! For this project, students took pictures of examples of the language wherever they found it, and then we compiled those photos into the mural you see below. Where do you notice examples of Spanish in your own home or community?
Rose says: “I thought it was fun to find out how much Spanish there is really around my house!”
August says: “I thought this was an interesting project because I didn’t know how many Spanish influences there were in my house/town.”
Hallie says: “I got to discover more Spanish in my everyday life that I didn’t even know was there!”
