Las conversaciones en pareja (Novice)
Students spent a large portion of the first trimester practicing common phrases, questions, and responses for getting to know someone. They also explored the concept of formal and informal situations and how language can change depending on who the participants in a conversation are. In order to demonstrate their understanding of these phrases and situations in context, students wrote dialogues that focused on key structures. In the first conversación, students work together to construct a dialogue in which they ask each other details like what their names are, how they are, when their birthday is, and where they’re from. In the second conversación, students independently created dialogues based on a given situation.
