La sorpresa del lunes (Novice)

This trimester, each student was assigned one week to put together a sorpresa, or surprise, for the class. This surprise could be almost anything related to the Spanish-speaking world such as a song or meme in Spanish, a fun fact about a Spanish-speaking country, a short video, etc. Then, on the Monday of that week, they would present the surprise to the class, so that we could all learn a little something new about the Spanish-speaking world, or have a laugh at a funny meme!

Ava says: “The sorpresas were really fun, you got to learn new facts, and see fun pictures all about Spanish heritage, tradition, and language, combined with the occasional Spanish meme.”

Akea says: “The sorpresa was really fun. I enjoyed seeing all the cool things that my classmates came up with. And it was really fun to find mine!”

Xander says: “I liked how every surprise was different depending on the person!”

Marvin says: I enjoyed doing this assignment because I could choose anything related to Spanish or the Spanish-speaking world, not just things we’ve already learned.”

An interesting article from Akea about the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia.

Mi sorpresa es de pupusas. Pupusas son de El Salvador y Honduras (y mas países). La masa es de maíz y adentro es de queso, frijoles, y/o carne y más. Las pupusas son muy deliciosas y populares en muchas áreas de Boston. - Marvin
