Las personas notables (Novice)

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15), students researched a notable person of hispanic heritage and their contributions to life in the United States. In order to share the information they learned, students designed a digital poster about the person and presented it to the class, which marked the first time that many students had used complete sentences to communicate in Spanish! On their posters, students included details such as the person’s name, birthday, heritage, profession, and even a few adjectives to describe them!

Isabella says: “Our posters were so fun to make because we each got to find our own notable person, which gave everyone a chance to try something different, and it helped us realize how many people with hispanic heritage impact our lives.”

Aya says: “It was really fun to learn about a person we admire who has hispanic heritage, and then get to make a poster about them.”

Rose says: “I liked this project because once everyone finished, we had so much information about famous hispanic people!”

R’monii says: “I learned about celebrities with hispanic heritage that I didn't know of and it opened my mind more.”
