Distinciones (I2)

This trimester two students from Español Intermedio 2 completed Distinctions projects, in addition to the other projects completed in class. These projects were completely student led. They chose topics that interested them, and worked on research and products, independently. With their teacher, they first established guiding steps and a final due date. They also received and implemented her feedback throughout the process.

The two projects here, showcase the diverse interests in topics from our students and highlight their language skills. You can leave questions and feedback in the comments box below. ¡Gracias!

For my Distinctions project in Spanish, I chose to make 4 infographics about the impact of the coronavirus in various Spanish-speaking countries. I chose the countries Spain, Mexico, Argentina, and Costa Rica, because they were all geographically distinct. I used sources in English for this project, but all of the notes that I took were in Spanish. I used Canva to make my infographics, and I tried to give them each their own style while still keeping the information neat and presentable. I hope you enjoy them. —Amos

For my Distinctions project, I expanded on the Celebraciones del Día de los Reyes Magos project. I decided to make 3 traditional foods for Día de Reyes from Mexico - Rosca de Reyes, Pozole, and Atole. I found recipes for each, and translated them. I baked all of the food, and recorded it. I added voiceovers of the recipes to those recordings, and also researched the origin of each food and wrote a small description for each recipe. —Ezra
