Panamá: Ensayo Académico (I2)
While reading the short novel Vector, students in Intermedio 2 investigated a variety of historical and cultural aspects related to the construction of the Panama Canal. Topics included medical access and the spread of diseases among workers, segregation and inequalities among workers, and the complexities of the engineering behind the construction of the canal. After choosing the topic most interesting to them, students conducted research and composed a well-organized essay supported with resources.
