Optical Object Exploration
When light passes through or bounces off of a curved material, it bends in a process called refraction or reflection, respectively. When we look at this bent light, our eyes (or cameras) see the objects the light came from differently; they might look bigger, or more in focus, or flipped upside down!
After learning about the basic conic shapes, bending light, and the optical properties of microscopes, students researched an optical object of their choice and created handouts explaining the optical properties of their object.
