Presentación de Poesía Oral (A2)

PoetX centers around Xiomara’s journey to conquer her fear to perform her poetry in front of her family, her friends, and strangers. It takes her time and much effort, but ultimately she opens herself up and allows others to get to know her through the power of her words.

It was only natural that as a part of Juanzi’s and Shanti’s journeys in writing original poems, they would perform them. Hence, on Juanzi’s last day of school (“dress up like a fictional character” day), ¡we held our very own Slam de Poesía Oral!. We invited their high school peers, and in front of them, they each performed three of the first ten poems they had written. After the presentation, our guests had the opportunity to chat with las poetas and read their other poems.

It was a fun and moving celebration. We hope you enjoy our recordings!
