Tacky the Musical, Division 2
Meridian's 8th graders have been working this year to create an enhanced musical based on the classic children's book by Helen Lester and illustrated by Lynn Munsinger. A charming tale of one odd bird’s journey from outcast to admired penguin, Tacky the Musical was written, illustrated, and performed by the students. While initially intended for the stage, students used this shift to a radio play to learn and practice a variety of new and unexpected skills, including Foley artistry and the use of computer recording and editing software.
