Una Visita al Doctor... (Novice High)
To wrap up the class’ focus on health and the vocabulary surrounding the body, students took part in a week-long final project, in which they got to showcase the incredible progress they made this year, by writing their own scenes and performing them! Their creativity truly shined in this project and the result were these incredibly funny skits!
The instructions were quite simple:
Students had to create a conversation between a patient and a doctor. The patient had to talk about whichever issue they were dealing with, and the doctor had to ask about the patient what was wrong as well as offers them advice.
In terms of language, students had to make sure to use:
3 forms of the verb estar, 3 forms of the verb ser, 3 forms of the verb tener, 3 reflexive verbs, doler, 4 body parts
Finally, the pairs were encourage to use props and spent class time rehearsing, although they did not need to memorize the entire scene, a lot of them did!
