Distinctions (Marvin)
This trimester, Marvin undertook the personal project of using old French sewing patterns to create beautiful pieces of clothing! First, Marvin translated all of the instructions from French to English, looking up any new vocabulary and expressions for certain fabrics and sewing techniques. Marvin then compiled any new vocabulary specific to patterns or clothing into a small “Lexique” in which he hand-drew the vocabulary in order to make it directly accesible while sewing.
