Ryan Kirby - Mathematics, Science, and Technology

Ryan is a lifelong learner with a particular interest in astrophysics, astrobiology, and climate sciences, and a passion for communicating these sciences. At Wheaton College, he worked on research using both satellite and telescopic images to measure glacial retreat on Earth, ancient features on Mars, and the ages of thousands of stars. Ryan is the author of a book on stargazing and has worked with a team from NASA using robots to explore caves on Earth as a model for exploring Martian caves in the future. He is also passionate about global science education and has engaged in a variety of science communication efforts including delivering talks and workshops for students at venues around the world. Ryan can always be found enjoying movies, taking pictures of stars, and learning new skills when he isn't working. Ryan joined Meridian in 2023.
