Mira (she or they) comes to Meridian with a wealth of educational experiences - they have taught in both public and private settings, both in the US and internationally. Mira wanted to be a teacher since 9th grade (before that, she wanted to be a chef). After college, Mira taught English, but always felt that the discussions that incorporated historical and socio-political analysis were the most vibrant. Wanting to deepen her knowledge of the social sciences, she pursued a masters degree in Gender and Cultural Studies; her thesis, on the #MeToo movement, was selected as the best masters thesis in the field in 2022 across nine Boston-area universities. Outside of their professional life, Mira has too many hobbies, especially kitchen projects, yarn projects, and tennis. She has a cat named Vincent after the poet Edna St. Vincent Millay and is always thrilled to offer a reading recommendation. Mira joined Meridian in 2024.
