Esmé Smith

For my JRPS project I decided to look at how women are portrayed throughout the history of American Superhero Comics. I found that comics are often organized into four distinct eras: The late 1930s and 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, and 1990s to the present. For my project I decided to make four collages, one to represent each era that I covered in my research.
