The Junior Research Project Seminar is the single most in-depth and challenging endeavor that Meridian students take on. Every year, each junior poses a question that they would like to explore. They spend the entire year researching that question, including reading books, analyzing academic articles, picking the brains of librarians, and interviewing experts in the field. In Trimester 1, students lay the foundation for the year by developing their research questions, beginning research, and synthesizing that research through a rigorous note-taking process. They finish the year by creating an original project based on their research. Below, we invite you to explore the topics that each junior is exploring this year. Click on the names of the students below to see their questions, some favorite quotes, and a set of notes each has taken on an academic source related to their topic.
