Eric Fishman – Humanities

Eric has taught students ranging in age from 3rd grade to graduate school. His pedagogical interests include Youth Participatory Action Research, restorative justice practices, multilingualism, and ethnic studies. He is particularly invested in exploring how classroom communities can support young people to develop their capacities as activists. As a child growing up in the Boston area, Eric's fascinations included cleaning supplies, rocks, and bureaucratic forms. As an adult, he also enjoys translating Francophone poetry, supporting local organizing campaigns, playing cello, and trying out bad puns. Prior to joining Meridian in 2022, Eric taught at the Mission Hill School and the Acera School, among others.
