GARDENSS (Growing Agriculture, Recipe Development, Eating Nutrients, Soil Science) Project
For the final portion of the GARDENSS Project, students read a novel of their choice. While they read, they noted major themes, points of conflict, and mentions of food. Once they finished reading their text, they had to choose and adapt a recipe of their choice. This was inspired by Kate Young’s The Little Library Cookbook. They then were tasked with modifying the recipe via experimentation. Below is out class’s cookbook, complete with recipes and the books that inspired them. Enjoy!
