Road Trip! Mini Project

To kick off the trimester, we learned about fractions, decimals, and percents. We took this knowledge and applied it to planning a road trip for all of Division 1, and thought about sales tax, discounts, and budgets along the way.

Each group selected an amusement park or main attraction to visit, and found the cost of tickets for all Division 1 students plus 5 chaperones. The students then found a local hotel or Airbnb to stay in and calculated the cost for all trip participants to spend 2 nights.

We also calculated the cost of food, gasoline for 5 cars to drive to and from the destination, and other activities to fill the time during our awesome road trips. We combines our math work and our research into a proposal letter to Josh and an itinerary for the trip.
