Betsy grew up in the Boston area and started acting around the age of 8. She was a dedicated theatre nerd throughout high school, during which she was often performing in three plays at a time. Over the years, Betsy dabbled in poetry, writing for young adults and children, acting, singing, and pizza-making. She has somewhat settled into her multi-hyphenate status as an educator, director, dramaturg, accessibility & inclusivity advocate, and ASL translator and consultant. She is a trained Joker (a facilitator of Theatre of the Oppressed workshops and forum theatre), and the Artistic Director of Education at Tufts Children's Theatre in Medford, MA. She also has one child and two orange and white cats. Betsy joined Meridian in 2018.
